HF Alkylation

Potassium hydroxide walnut to remove water and hydrofluoric acid.

After defluorination of butane and propane on an alumina bed, a caustic potash treatment in KOH dryer is required for elimination of water and residual hydrofluoric acid.

Basically, potassium hydroxide briquettes are used to remove water and HF traces in propane and butane in HF alkylation unit.

K-TRAP is a new product, formulated from Newton's experience and know-hom. It is a tailor made mixture of caustic soda and caustic potash which allows optimizing cost/performances ratio in KOH treaters.
