Solvents
In petrochemistry, sodium hydroxide briquettes and potassium hydroxide briquettes are used in purification steps in solvents production like toluene or THF, or for chemical intermediates (TEA, butadiene). In the regeneration of solvents, after flash distillation, a dehydration step allows to reach the required purity for treated liquid chemicals.
