Drying VCM

Either sodium hydroxide briquette or potassium hydroxide briquette to remove water and hydrochloric acid from Vinyl Chloride Monomer VCM.

During the distillation of VCM, a part is dragged away with the residual hydrochloric acid.  After neutralization with liquid  caustic soda in a settling basin, the VCM is dryed and treated on a caustic soda bed to eliminate all traces of acids and water.

Use of soda briquettes or potash briquettes to dry VCM
